[RtCW: ET] Demo recording - Reporting hackers |

If you suspect someone is cheating, please follow the steps outlined below. If the person is cheating, they will be banned from the server. However, we can't ban without proof, so be vigilant and be sure to help us out as much as possible!
A demo is an in-game recording which can only be viewed using Enemy Territory. A demo is the most common way to prove someone is hacking, if they are not already picked up by PunkBuster.
So, how do you record a demo and submit it to use? Well, it's a very simple process and here's how to do it:
Recording a demo
1) Join spec and follow the player you suspect of cheating
2) Type "/record" in the console
3) When you've got enough proof, type "/stoprecord" in the console
The demos will be saved in your "Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/etpub/demos" folder.
Demo Submission
You can upload demos by using the attachment function on these forums.
Upload the demo there, create a new thread, and post a link to the demo.
We'll take a look at them, and if they're found to be cheating, they will be banned from The Bunker, and the demo submitted to PBBans.com for them to be added to the MBi (Master Ban Index).

If you are unsure how to structure your post, take a look at the other submissions in the above mentioned forums and you'll get the idea.
We thank you for your time in reading this, and even more so if you successfully record a demo and submit it to us!
Sidenotes
1) Do not call out the player hacking. E.g. don't say "I know you're hacking" whilst recording the demo.
2) If you remember to do so, type '/pb_plist' in the console. This is not 100% required, but it will assist us in searching the logs for the players data.
